Christmas Day is not just for the good teams anymore.
According to the 2009-10 NBA schedule posted on NBA.com, the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers will both play on Christmas Day. The Knicks will host the Heat at 12 PM on ESPN, and Clippers will head to Phoenix to take on the Suns at 8 PM, also on ESPN.
For the second straight season, there will be five NBA games on Christmas Day. On ABC, the Magic will host the Celtics at 2:30 PM, followed by what figures to be a heavily hyped Cavaliers/Lakers showdown at 5:00 PM. In the last game of the day, the Nuggets will head to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers at 10:30 PM on ESPN.
TNT, which will be left out of the Christmas Day coverage, will air an NBA doubleheader on New Year's Eve, featuring Heat/Spurs and 76ers/Clippers.
The NBA will officially announce its schedule at 1 PM today.
