ESPN will debut a high-profile new employee later this week.
Matt Millen, the infamous former Detroit Lions president, will make his ESPN debut on NFL Live this Thursday. Millen will sit alongside fellow recent ESPN hire Herman Edwards for the 4:30 PM and 7 PM ET editions of NFL Live on both Thursday and Friday.
Millen will be a familiar face to football fans this season. For ESPN, he will serve as an NFL analyst, appearing on Monday Night Countdown from the site of each Monday night game, and a college football analyst, calling games on ABC alongside Sean McDonough. Additionally, Millen will be the lead analyst for NFL Network's eight-game NFL coverage later this year.
Since leaving the Lions last year, Millen has resurrected his television career. Earlier this year, he was a guest analyst for NBC's coverage Wild Card Saturday and Super Bowl XLIII.
Before joining the Lions, Millen was a game analyst for NFL coverage on CBS and FOX.
